Day 94 - Sunday, October 19, 1997

Elma RV Park, Elma, Washington - We drove 20 miles to Gray's Harbor to catch the Redskins game at Sidneys Restaurant and Sports Lounge, a pleasant little dive where loggers bet on games of pool while onlookers cheer and applaud. We met a local celebrity who is a "Guest Forecaster" on a local TV station (he predicts the winners of the NFL games). He was as disappointed as us that the Redskins got spanked by the Oilers. The afternoon we spent at Elma High School, tossing the football around. Buck had a great time running back and forth as we tossed the ball until he realized that he wasn't going to be allowed to chew on a $50 football. Undaunted he began playing the "Let me run really fast and jump chest first into Jim" game. This he liked.
