Lake Pleasant, Bothell, Washington -

We packed up and left Trailer Inns this afternoon and headed north of Seattle to Bothell. This is the shortest drive we've had yet! This campground is so much nicer. There is a pond with ducks and geese. Each site is paved, but also has grass and trees. And the people are very nice. This is a big switch from the last place, which we think is run by Satan's Helpers.

This evening we decided to go out and check the night scene in the Seattle suburbs. The first three places we hit all had bands. That's great, except for the cover charges. Trying to keep our expenses down we kept moving until we found a cafe with a band and no cover charge.

The band, Whiplash, had a female singer and a female bass player. The singer was great. She was able to pull off some Led Zeppelin, which was quite a treat! Seattle seems to really support the live music scene. This is very different than back home in DC, where people pay a cover charge to listen to a guy play the same CDs they listened to on the drive to the club.
