Day 75 - Tuesday, September 30, 1997

We went into downtown Portland today. While walking around we visited the campus of Portland State University. It was kind of strange. We had just walked by the AAA office and next thing we knew we were at the School of Education building. It's not often one runs into a campus building by accident. We should have known something was up when we saw all the young people with backpacks, but we figured a bunch of hikers were lost.

After wandering around town all afternoon (in the rain), we headed out for Marci's birthday dinner. We really lived it up tonight, baby! Marci got her choice of anything on the menu - even the 20 piece McNuggets. Nothing's too good for her!!!
