Day 72 - Saturday, September 27, 1997The Playground RV Park, Boise, Idaho - We rode our bikes into town so Marci could get her hair cut. We pored over the picture books looking for the cut that Marci wanted. It seems that the last time Marci got her hair cut she wasn't too pleased with the hairdresser's attempt at a simple trim. Jim didn't mind her new look since he's always had a thing for Opie Taylor, but Marci prefers being a girl.Since we couldn't find the cut in any of the books, we headed off to the library to borrow a computer to find the shot of Patricia Tallman that Marci originally used as a model for her hairstyle. Unfortunately the Boise library system isn't quite up to speed. Pulling up web pages took forever (1-2 minutes just to bring up a search page). We wasted our 1/2 hour of allotted time with nothing to show for our efforts except elevated blood pressure. Marci didn't get her hair cut today. During the evening we went to downtown Boise for the Oktoberfest. We got there just as the Polka band started. After realizing that everyone was even more bored than we were, we decided to blow that place in search of some Rockin' Boise Action. No dice. We went to a couple different bars, but there wasn't much going on. As we left town around 1:30 in the morning the streets were empty. If you've lost your virginity and want to get it back, Boise is the place for you!
