Day 54 - Tuesday, September 9, 1997

JellyStone Park, Missoula, Montana - We were unable to pinpoint the oil leak, but we did confirm that it was not a high pressure line (which could be dangerous). Jim needed to see better, so he talked a semi-truck repair shop into letting him use their engine cleaner (for free). Now that the engine is clean we should be able to spot the leak. Since Mercedes are not too common around here, we're taking extra precautions.

Guess where we went for lunch today? That's right! Taco John's. Here in Missoula we have multiple Taco Bells, Taco Times and Taco John's. This is a Taco Town!! Actually, it's a college town, which explains the plentiful cheap food. Mexican food is great for a college town because it gives you gas. Just ask any college graduate who, after a taco meal, drank some beer and had a lighter handy. Gives a new meaning to Gas Light, doesn't it?

We bought a portable heater today. Now we won't be cold at night. It doesn't take us long to catch on, does it?

In order to take care of our e-mail, Jim had to go to the campground office after the Boss had left so that the sweet young lady working the counter could let us borrow the office phone. Many campgrounds are unfamiliar with our needs while others are already set up to help us out. Jennifer was appreciative of our needs - she led Jim to a back room in the office (attractive young women do that to him all the time). She was also kind enough to give Jim a floppy disk (which he kept forgetting to buy). Jennifer asked for our web page address, so hopefully she will check in and see she is famous!!
