Day 48 - Wednesday, September 3, 1997KOA Choteau, Choteau, Montana - We took another long drive today and landed in Choteau, which is just east of the Rocky Mountains. We can see the craggy mountains off in the distance. We drove through some harsh country with road signs like "Next Services 67 Miles". In other words, "Fuel up now or you'll be sorry!" Many times we saw exits with little else besides a single house off the highway. Talk about small towns!!The land up here is used mostly for grazing. It's funny how some vegetarians (such as my good friend Amy) talk about high how many pounds of plants are required for just a single steak. That makes good sense until you see the range up here and realize that nothing else will grow besides grass and cattle. Except, of course, camels. That's right, we saw a farm with camels. Montana has everything!!
