Day 41 - Wednesday, August 27, 1997

KOA Kennebec, Kennebec, South Dakota - We woke up early this morning (ha ha) and drove 100 miles to see The Badlands of South Dakota. They were bad lands...very, very bad lands. Have you ever seen the movie Total Recall or pictures of Mars? Imagine seeing miles and miles of land that looks like that.

Buck and Jim had a lot of fun climbing hills. Buck proved much braver than Jim in that he was willing to walk to the edge. Buck was also able to get down without assistance from the Park Rangers. Seriously though, The Badlands must be experienced in person to be truly appreciated.

On the way back we stopped at Mrs. B's Restaurant to sample her "World Famous Buffalo Burgers." They was de-licious except Marci had to pick a horn out from her teeth.
