Day 38 - Sunday, August 24, 1997

KOA Sioux City North, Sioux City, South Dakota - We did some shopping today. Jimmy bought new shoes. His last pair were starting to smell. Actually, they smelled so bad the rubber was melting. Of course, now that we've thrown them out, we'll need to start using bug spray again to keep the bugs away.

We took it easy today relaxing by the pool. Jim is trying to meet up with a friend in Nebraska, but the guy got called into work for an emergency. We will try again tomorrow. Meanwhile we enjoyed the Ice Cream Social in the campground office. For $1.25 we got all the soft-serve ice cream we could eat (and cookies!). Oooh, what a treat!!

Buck is feeling great. Today he stole Jim's flip-flops and starting running around in circles. Unfortunately, Jim was in them at the time. Now Buck has a hernia. Oh, well!
