Day 37 - Saturday, August 23, 1997
|
KOA Sioux City North, Sioux City, South Dakota -
We woke up again to Rain. That means we've hit rain in just about every state in which we camped (except New Hampshire). We took a very scenic route from Minneapolis to Sioux City, which is at the border of South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska.
There's a lot of sky here, much more than we are used to. On the way down we would pick a grain silo ahead in the distance and see how many miles we had to drive to reach it. What an exciting game!! We also saw a llama ranch - just thought we'd share that.
The weather here is great!! The temperature was up around 90º, which is just how we like it. This certainly beats the heck out of 52º, which was the low in Minnesota. What's great about driving like this is that we can wake up cold and wet and eat dinner in the hot sun 300 miles away. You all could probably do that too, but then you'd have to drive back home - we are home. |
