Day 3 - Sunday, July 20, 1997
|
Carlisle Campground, Carlisle, Pennsylvania - We were originally planning to spend Sunday night at Hidden Springs. In fact, we'd already paid. Unfortunately, we were awakened from our much needed afternoon nap by our campground host. She informed us that our site had been previously reserved by some other campers. We were asked to pack up and move to another site. While half asleep and grudgingly packing up, we realized that it was really stupid to go to all that trouble to move 50 feet. So, Jim got our money back and we got into the car.
In keeping with the Redskin's theme, we decided to head over to Carlisle, Pennsylvania. We got there in time for a quick swim and a delicious dinner of minestrone soup and tuna fish sandwiches. We met a family that was relocating from the D.C. area. They were camped out next to us while waiting for their belongings to be shipped up here. It's a small world, isn't it?
