Day 29 - Friday, August 15, 1997

Gordon's Camping Resort, Kendallville, Indiana - We drove into the town of Kendallsville today to catch up on some errands. Marci got her hair cut in a local salon and tanning booth. We then made a long overdue trip to the
Laundromat. We got to use the front loading washing machines with the glass doors. We had so much fun watching the laundry go round and round. Unfortunately, Marci got dizzy and almost threw up! While we were inside a tremendous thunderstorm hit the area. By the time it was done a 30 yard square area of the parking lot was under about 18 inches of water. Jim had fun taking off his shoes and playing in in it!
Gordon's is having Christmas in August here, which means that regular campers are decorating their sites with Christmas lights and other decorations. We are not equipped for decorating our site, so we had to improvise. Jim makes a great Bald Santa!
