Bear Creek KOA, Canton, Ohio - Today we hit the Pro Football Hall of Fame!! We hoped it would be nice, and it ended up being extremely impressive. It turns out going at 6:30 p.m. on a Wednesday is a great time to go if you don't like crowds. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves (although the two of us looked kinda stupid doing the wave on the front steps).
The whole place was well laid out. There were so many interesting stories and facts. For example, there was a display in which you could pick up a phone and listen to the original radio broadcast of Jim Marshall running the wrong way in a game!
Our favorite part of the museum was the GameDay Stadium. This was a documentary like we've never seen! It was held in a rotating theater so when we moved from the locker room to the field, we rotated! It was created in such a way that you felt you were actually on the field and in the thick of it all! We were so inspired when it was over that Marci tackled the security guard to open the hole for Jim who then proceeded to stiff arm the gift shop lady to make it in for the score!
Several famous football players donated memorabilia: Mark Moseley's shoe, Joe Namath's knee brace, a license plate that read "44 RIGGO" and Jim actually touched Fran Tarkenton's football jersey! (Fran was not in it at the time)
