Circus Circus RV Park, Las Vegas, NV - We finally hit Vegas after a long drive through the desert. Funny thing is during the drive we couldn't remember our names 'cause there ain't no one for to give you no name. You know, the desert is an ocean with its life underground and the perfect disguise above.
We are staying in the Circus Circus RV Park, which is a converted parking lot. It's got water, electric and bathrooms, so we're happy!! This week the Comdex convention is in town, which means 190,000+ extra people, mostly computer geeks. It also means the rates are jacked up. The normal low $14 rate is now $23, which is just okay.
We hit the casinos this afternoon. Marci was bummed after losing at nickel and quarter slots, so Jim convinced her to try dollar slots. After a short time Marci won $100!! She was so thrilled she just had to call her folks!!
We pigged out at a $4.99 buffet at the casino where we gobbled roast beef, roast
turkey, ham, fried shrimp, catfish, mashed potatoes and tons of other comestibles. We were stuffed, but not so stuffed we couldn't waddle The Strip, rolling our bloated stomachs in and out of casinos, gambling and just looking around. Vegas has grown in recent years, but MGM removed its huge lion it had in front. All that's left is a little kitten.
