Day 123 - Monday, November 17, 1997

Super 8 Motel, Barstow, CA - We drove back up to L.A. to visit our old friends Krista and Chris in Huntington, Beach. We hung out with them for the evening. They have two large dogs who kept trying to get Buck to play. With some playful growling and nipping, Buck was able to assert himself as the alpha male. Despite this, the puppy of the group kept trying to get him to play. It was quite amusing...and noisy.
We left Huntington Beach towards Las Vegas. We were going to try to drive through the night, but we were simply too tired, so we stopped in Barstow, which is the midpoint between L.A. and Las Vegas. Barstow was also the setting for last week's episode of
e.r. on TV. Small world, ain't it?
