Day 120 - Friday, November 14, 1997
|
Castaic RV Park, Castaic CA - With the sunny weather we drove into Los Angeles today. Our first stop was in Hollywood. After we got out of our car we were greeted by a man yelling, "Tickets to a live taping of a show!" Either that or he said, "Crickets in a hive scraping their snow!" We try not to pay too much attention to folks yelling in cities.
We walked on the stars as we walked down Hollywood Boulevard. Some that we recognized, some that we'd never heard of. We also visited Mann's Chinese Theater to check out the famous handprint and footprint impressions made in the cement. We were very amused by Trigger's hoofprints and Harpo's bare footprints. Jim found a blank concrete slab. He concluded that was Scoopy Doo's pawprints since Scooby's a cartoon and wouldn't really make an impression.
Our next drive was through Beverly Hills. There we saw some absolutely gorgeous and incredibly large hedges that completely obscured our view of any houses. We pulled up to one of the gated entrances and
laid on the horn. No one let us in. Money just goes to some people's heads.
