Day 100 - Saturday, October 25, 1997

Roam and Rest RV Park, Portland, Oregon - Today was a milestone on our adventure. It's Day 100!! Yep, it's been 100 days since we:
 
bullet Have seen anyone we knew before we left.
bullet Cooked on a stove with more than two burners.
bullet Microwaved anything.
bullet Used an oven.
bullet Used a dishwasher.
bullet Slept in a real bed.
bullet Have seen each other in anything but the 5 days worth of clothes we brought.
bullet Had to get up and go to work.
bullet Hugged our parents.
bullet Used our own bathroom.
bullet Showered in a shower where we knew the person who showered before us.
bullet Been apart for more than one hour.
bullet Shopped for food without looking at the price.
bullet Have seen The Washington Post.
bullet Had to answer our phone.
bullet Checked our own mail.
bullet Had pizza delivered.
bullet Had Chinese food at Shen Yang.
bullet Played bass (Jim).
bullet Took a bath.
bullet Woke up in the middle of the night and didn't have to go outside to pee.
bullet Had hot running water for doing dishes.
bullet Got to stay outside without a leash (Buck).
bullet Washed clothes without needing quarters.
bullet Listened to messages on our answering machine.
bullet Shopped at Giant Food.
bullet Went out to dinner with friends.
bullet Spent the night in a real house.
bullet Wrote a rent check.
bullet Pumped fuel (Marci).
bullet Got our clean clothes out of a closet or drawer (they're in the car).
bullet Shopped at a store long enough to be a "regulars."
bullet Vacuumed.
bullet Cleaned a toilet.
bullet Worked in the yard.
bullet Got a parking ticket from the City of College Park (a record).
bullet Bought more than three days worth of food at one time.
bullet Used a printer.
bullet Had the same neighbors for more than a week.
bullet Had walls more than 1/2" thick.
bullet Had a home that didn't roll.
bullet Had a home that didn't have to be setup and taken down.
bullet Took a nap on a couch.
bullet Used a toaster, blender, breadmaker, blow dryer or coffee maker.
bullet Made ice.
bullet Had glass windows.
bullet Slept under anything besides a sleeping bag.
bullet Been called Mrs. Carr (Marci or Jim).

It's been 100 days since we discovered a whole new world.
